Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Ganadio processes information when you use the Ganadio mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Ganadio is an operational platform for connected livestock and device management.

In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “Ganadio” refer to the operator of the Service. “You” refers to an authorized account holder or other authorized user of the Service.

2. Information We Process

We process information needed to provide and secure the Service, including:

  • Account and organization information: account credentials, name, contact information, role, and the farm, customer, distributor, or organization associated with your account.
  • Livestock and device information: animal records, Animal IDs, electronic ear tag numbers, device status, battery status, assignment information, and other operational records entered into the Service.
  • Location and telemetry information: device-reported coordinates, location history, report times, connectivity information, geofence records, and alerts. These records relate to managed devices and livestock; they are not intended to track you personally.
  • Images and camera data: if you choose to scan a device QR code or select an image for a device or livestock profile, the app may use your camera or photo library for that selected action.
  • Your current location: if you grant location permission, the app may access your current location to provide map-related features. You can decline or revoke this permission in your device settings.
  • Technical and diagnostic information: app version, device and operating-system information, IP address, request logs, and diagnostic data used to protect, operate, and troubleshoot the Service.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • authenticate users and apply role-based access controls;
  • display device status, location, history, geofences, and alerts;
  • manage livestock records, device assignments, and operational workflows;
  • provide customer, distributor, and platform administration features;
  • maintain security, prevent misuse, and diagnose service issues; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Ganadio does not sell personal information and does not use your information for cross-app or cross-website targeted advertising.

4. When Information Is Shared

We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • with authorized users in your organization and its permitted distributors, customers, or administrators, based on their assigned role and data scope;
  • with service providers that host, secure, support, or deliver the Service, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations;
  • with map providers when map tiles are requested to render map views. For example, Ganadio uses OpenStreetMap map tiles; the provider may receive technical information such as your IP address and the requested map area; and
  • where required by law, to protect rights, safety, and security, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

We require service providers that process personal information for us to protect it in a manner consistent with this policy and applicable law.

5. Retention and Deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain operational and security records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type, account relationship, and applicable law.

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account. Deletion requests may be subject to legal, security, operational, or recordkeeping requirements. Where the Service is provided through an organization, requests should normally be made through that organization’s administrator.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices

  • Permissions: you can manage camera, photo library, and location permissions through your device settings.
  • Account information: you can update certain account information in the app or contact your administrator for assistance.
  • Data requests: contact your account administrator or the Service support contact provided by your organization to request access, correction, or deletion, where available under applicable law.

8. International Processing

Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live or work. When we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps designed to provide an appropriate level of protection as required by applicable law.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is designed for business and operational use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by other appropriate means.

For privacy questions or a data request, please contact the administrator of the organization that provided your Ganadio account. The administrator can coordinate with Ganadio support on your behalf.
